Corporate Taxation in ARGENTINA: Technical service fees

Fees for technical assistance, engineering or consulting services paid to a nonresident are subject to a final withholding tax of 35% on 60% of the gross payment if the agreement under which the fees are paid is registered with the INTI aNd the services cannot be obtained in Argentina. If the agreement is registered with the INTI, but the services can be obtained in Argentina, the effective rate is 24%. 


Argentina reduces export tax on grains, oilseeds

Soon after the accession of Argentina’s President Maurico Macri on Dec. 10, 2015, his administration implemented a series of significant policy changes in the agricultural sector affecting the entire grain and oilseed sector in Argentina, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) reported on Feb. 1 according to a World Grain news story out last week.

Argentina has decided to cut taxes on new cars and motorcycles

For new cars worth more than ARS350,000 (USD27,000), the excise tax has been lowered from 30% to 10%. Meanwhile, the rate for cars worth more than ARS800,000 has been slashed from 50% to 20%. The cuts are intended to stimulate the domestic automobile industry.
